FOOD IS CONNECTION
“A dish, a smell, a sizzle can transport me back to a delicious moment in time and I want to go there again. So I bake. But what if the recipe is gluten-filled? No problem. I make it over substituting gluten-free ingredients and I am right back at a holiday table, family picnic, or Grandma’s kitchen enjoying those flavors all over again,” says baking expert, Beth Hillson.
WE ARE ALL CONNECTED THROUGH OUR MIXING BOWLS AND OUR QUEST TO EAT WELL
Don’t go without something because it has gluten. Just replace offending ingredients with safe ones. Through this blog and my cookbook (same name), I’ll show you how easy it is. On this site, we’ll bring back the favorite dishes you’ve been missing and show you how to make them safe for your special diet.
MY PHILOSOPHY ON BAKING
(1) Any recipe can be made gluten-free by replacing gluten-filled ingredients with those that are gluten-free.
(2) A good makeover just needs the right blend of flours and the correct ratio of ingredients (wet to dry; fat to sugar)
(3) Making over gluten-filled recipes is like filling your tummy with happiness.
(4) Eating well is the best way to avoid cheating on your diet.
